The Exchanged Life-His Righteousness

Romans 5:21,He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].

As children of God, we have many reasons to rejoice! The ONE thing for me,  and I’m excited to share. We’ve been adopted as heirs to God and joint heirs to Jesus. Romans 8:17 Hallelujah!

This means that we belong to God; we are loved and accepted by Him, despite our condition (frailties, deficiencies, flaws, and all). We have been made righteous because of Jesus and His crucifixion. When Jesus suffered and died, He took our place, and He paid the ultimate price for our sins. He sacrificed His life to restore us back into a relationship with Father God. And now, when you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you exchanged your old, sinful life for a new,  pure, and holy life in Christ.

Right this moment, you are the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ,- not because of any good deeds of your own; it’s simply because of His extravagant love and grace. That is praiseworthy!!  You can let go of any striving to earn His love and acceptance; all God asks is that you BELIEVE and RECEIVE.

His Righteousness is our bountiful inheritance; it is a precious gift bestowed upon us by faith. God is inviting us to rise up and walk in our righteous identity, enjoying the newness of life that Jesus paid for. Forget your past, and let go of the lies that have held you captive. Stop allowing the opinions of others to define you. Instead, focus on absolute TRUTH and what Abba has declared about you. The only truth that can truly set you free is found in the word of God.

When you embrace His Righteousness, you will be transformed and empowered by His grace to reflect His character and nature. The world will see and encounter Jesus through you, and this will serve as a powerful witness that may lead others to salvation and help them grow to know Jesus intimately. Isn’t this what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about?  Let’s rejoice in this glorious truth.

A Key Takeaway: The revelation of our righteousness in Jesus Christ produces righteous living. Titus 2:11-12
