In His Presence

1 John 4:16, We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love!

Have you ever asked how you experience God’s love when you can not see Him?

To experience God’s love starts with believing that you can. By faith, He meets us with the grace that gives us access to Him. As we spend personal, intimate, quiet time with the Lord in prayer and study of the Word of God, we will create an atmosphere that reverences His existence and invokes his presence. Many times, He will often make himself known and minister to you in a way that transforms you. With every encounter, you will increasingly become more like him. When you can’t discern his presence, trust his heart and the word He has spoken. Hebrews 13:5,  I will never leave you or forsake you. Keep believing He is with you and will remain with you in all life’s circumstances; He is our constant source of security and comfort. God is faithful and keeps his promises. Continue to cultivate a relationship with him when times are good and evil.

When you remain steadfast, you will grow closer to Jesus as you learn to trust and depend on him. You will come to know Him for yourself and experience the holy union and communion of oneness with the Father. An example of this oneness I’m talking about; can be found in the book of John, chapter 15. This illustrates our relationship with Jesus, the True Vine, and we are the branches. The branch (you/I) derive life from the vine and can only bear fruit if it abides in it (Father/Son/Holy Spirit). It is vital that we abide in Him. To abide means to remain, stay connected to Him through His teaching, and obey what you hear. Rely on His love and grace to keep you as you seek to glorify Him. Jeremiah 1:12; states,” God watches over his word to perform it.” The revelation of this scripture to my heart is that God is alert, aware, attentive, and involved in all of the details of our lives, and each day of our lives. He is faithful and committed to bringing his words, his promises to pass to bless us and empower us to bless others!

Here are some practical ways to experience God’s love and presence: fellowship with other believers, share your God-given gifts through the leadership of the Holy Spirit, whether it is singing, prayer, prophetic utterance, preaching, or teaching, express random acts of kindness, and always be grateful, giving thanks to our Lord!!

A Key Takeaway: God’s love is not a concept or a theory; it is a spiritual reality that can be known, understood, and experienced when one trusts in God.

Love & grace,
